The Forest is getting Real
...a tree whispered….”Who are you?”
It started with listening.
Nope. Better said: Re-Learning to listen.
Nope. Better said: Listening for the first time.
Practicing to listen.
The door opened, and I hesitated.
Naked. Entered anyway. Scared. Scarred.
The storm is active.
The Creator Class is blooming. Trusted Mobility is forming.
Since writing about the dream of a living, owned tree, something has been happening — quietly at first, then unmistakably.
The tree didn’t stay a metaphor. It started to look more like a forest.
What I see now is that the living tree was never just about professional connections. It was about mobility, trust, and dignity — a professional ancestry of trust, owned by its people. It is a way for people to move, work, create, and rest without being filtered through systems that don’t really see them.
For a long time, the people who actually create culture — artists, musicians, hospitality workers, builders, DJs, designers, ESL and immigrant workers, gig and nomadic workers, the awkward, quiet and soft ones with huge value, massive hard skills, but small social circle — have lived outside the loyalty and rewards systems of travel. Not because they lack value, but because those systems were built for people whose companies pay, whose status is inherited, whose access is assumed.
So the Creator Class stays in other places.
- They eat where they can.
- Sleep on couches.
- Drive/ride-share late and know never to walk alone at night.
- Absorb the cost themselves. Not reimbursed.
- Often feel unsafe, without real choice.
And yet, these are the people who shape cities, scenes, towns, reputations, and memories.
What’s becoming clear is that the forest itself is where trusted mobility lives.
Each tree — each person — holds their own roots, their own branches, their own stories.
Together, the forest becomes a place where people know where they’re safe, welcome, known, where their presence is understood without explanation.
This is where the flip happens.
In this world, the Creator Class doesn’t chase loyalty status — they are the loyalty layer.
- Access comes from contribution, not spend.
- Trust comes from lived experience, not branding.
The people who serve, create, travel, and show up hold the highest standing — not because it’s granted, but because it’s real. An outlaw trail, digital in form, ancient in spirit.
What’s different now is that this is no longer just an idea.
What’s different is me.
If I stayed quiet, this would remain a dream.
- I’ve realized I’m more afraid of that, than I am of building in public.
The fear hasn’t been about technology or complexity.
- It’s been about trust — who to trust, and whether it was safe to step through the door.
What changed is the people.
Finding Common Ground.
- Watching how the LUKSO community shows up.
- Seeing the culture form around builders, artists, travelers, the Bandit Rebellion, the global phenomenon of the Pink Balaclava, Forever Moments, and inspiring partnerships and teams like Sleek — generous, clear, principled, and serious about doing the work.
That gave me enough trust to enter. The blindfold wasn’t removed; it melted. The burns are real. The attacks are fake, made up in my own mind.
LUKSO and Universal Profiles make it possible to own identity and connection in a way that can’t be extracted or outsourced. Not replacing existing systems overnight, but quietly sitting beside them — owned by the people inside the work. This becomes the ownership layer for something real: a real-world asset made of people, places, and shared experience.
It takes time, but to make something like this usable in the real world, it needs fuel — not speculation, not hype — but something practical. I’ve been quietly working on that too. A simple idea called LAVA, a working name, scary to say out loud, meant to circulate value inside the forest: helping people move, stay, eat, create, and support one another without everything leaking out through fees and middle layers. Still forming. Still learning, but real in intent.
The timing matters. Not hype. Substance. Real.
What used to feel fragmented now feels aligned. The extractive, outsourced systems that separate travelers from the people who serve them — systems that were built, not natural — are starting to crack.
They don’t disappear all at once.
- They weaken as people stop depending on them.
What I’ve also rediscovered — this is personal, but real — is a process I have avoided all my life; writing and expressing myself publicly without fear of judgement, labeled with indelible ink from those that orbit my life, and fell back in love with: building a world with a sense of wonder, reality and humor.
Not a fantasy one — a real one.
- With characters drawn from real lives.
- With symbols and colors that carry history.
I’ve been sketching archetypes — seventeen so far — that show up again and again in hospitality and service. One of them is Frank. Deeply flawed. Carries more than he admits.
Takes care of everyone else before himself. A big heart, a lot of demons, and the kind of person every team quietly relies on.
He’s not imaginary.
- He exists everywhere. Frank cooks and creates. *We created a short movie about Frank becoming decentralized. Coming soon to a STORM near you!
Stories like that ground me. They remind me why this matters.
This is also a second welcome.
To regular people.
- To those who serve.
- To those who need to travel for work without reimbursement.
- To those who create without safety nets.
- To those who’ve been dismissed, misunderstood, or told to stay quiet.
I’m onboarding others into this way of thinking and building — people who, not long ago, were new to Web3 and LUKSO while still working their real-world jobs.
We’re learning together. Sharing templates, advice, mistakes, encouragement. Enjoying the process. Getting ready.
That explorer–teacher part of me is alive again.
And what we’re shaping — slowly, deliberately — is no longer just a dream.
- It’s a real-world asset forming in plain sight, grounded in hospitality, travel, cultural exchange, and the blooming Creator Class.
Ownership is real here.
- Connection and culture are real.
- Safety in numbers and trusted mobility are real.
The forest is growing — and it’s owned by the ones who drop the seeds and tend the gardens. I’m grateful to be doing this with you — those who serve, those who explore, and those who create.
We’re closer than it looks.
